Katherine Vinnicombe has been appointed Head of Business Development at Eelpower, the UK energy storage company.
Katherine has joined Eelpower from SSE where she led solar and storage project development and M&A. Her career to date includes senior roles at global renewables investor Foresight and prior that, Lloyds Bank. In these roles she was responsible for delivering multiple utility scale wind, solar and energy storage projects and associated financing structures.
At Eelpower, Katherine will drive the strategic development of the company’s platform of battery storage assets. These are being brought forward in collaboration with Eelpower’s joint venture partners that include NextEnergy Solar Fund (NESF), the specialist renewable energy investment company. Katherine will also lead the company’s working relationships with key stakeholders including National Grid, the distribution companies, landowners and planning authorities.
